Great project!!! Can't wait to see the end result!!

The RS is a fantastic machine, but will be so interesting to see how it performs with a manual. Finally someone is doing this build, I applaud you sir!

Does the toe box need to be modified to accept the actual 3rd peddle? Are the go peddle and brake peddle in the current right spots??

great project, and thanks for bringing excitement back to this sub forum, I think we all got tired from
threads with which dealer should be on a bad list
how much over MSRP did you pay
etc

Nice project. A repaint was technical enough for me!

You might go into the books as the guy who convinces Porsche to bring manual back on the RS and maybe even the Turbo. A true revolutionary.

Well done. I suspect somewhere on the other side of the pond AP is smiling and shaking his head at the same time.

Over/under on the final post count on this thread......?

This is pretty awesome. I'm guessing a pet scan of all the bits and differences is the key. And of course sourcing the r box.

Cool project. Not cheap I'm sure but should be reversible too if inclined.

Would be good for you to post a parts list and if any custom or hacky stuff was required for the electronics. Guessing if you change the right boxes to r bits it'll work ok. Question is if things like the gateway, abs, motronic, and tc computers freak out.
Thanks, yes and yes about the parts and PET.
not cheap at all but worth it, if i sold my car right now id probably be at a loss plus the cost to upgrade to a new model it pretty much a wash. for sure would be reversible.
Parts list and infowill be available when done also any issues to get it done i'll post about.
Im sure all the dash will light up like a christmas tree, shop says its a non issue.

someone already probably asked you this but in case I missed it, why do you like it on the .1 GT3 and not on the other cars? Is it because on the .1 GT3 the paddles are how do I say it "heavier" to engage, so it gives more of a connection than the regular PDK paddles?

I remember reading once that the mechanism or spring on the .1 GT3 PDK paddles is different on the other models, so was wondering if it gave you more of an engaging feel and if this is the reason why PDK on the .1 is ok for you. I am sure it will be more engaging with a manual but I am trying to compare PDK on .1 GT3 with PDK on the rest
I was just making a general statement about the PDK drive ability in everyday use in the .1gt3 being my daily driver. The car as a whole was really nice. I just feel the RS should be manual, kind of fitting of the car as a package, more aggressive looking, aero, fenders etc... not taking away from the amazing car the gt3 is at all.

but the paddles were nicely weighted in the.1 almost exact same feeling in the RS with the exception that the RS pull is a touch shorter.
