That article reminds me of the premise of Otto Beckman's book, 'The Good Old Days, They Were Terrible' about how we find ways to romanticize the past.

Thought about this as well.. I haven't gotten to drive the Gt4 and i don't want to derail this topic asking questions about it vs the Gt3 but it does seem like it would be a fun car.. One of the most fun cars i have tracked was built s2000 on E85 that had about 250whp at 2500lbs.. it was a blast.. Like a spec miata on steroids..

Thanks for the advice, going to have to see if i can drive one..

Well after test driving the .1 Gt3 and the .1 RS this weekend turns out i got a phone call and someone found a unicorn for me that i went with instead.. a 997 Gt2.. Couldn't resist in oh so rare white.. No Gt3 for now.. its pretty safe to say you can drive this car for a while and its not going down 100%!!! Thanks for all the advice guys..

So happy to be back in a Porsche again.. And a GT2 at that.. Thank you all again for the advice.. it didn't go unused as i would have honestly walked in to buy that guards red 991 for 170k and screwed myself.. they are calling me every day.. Curious to see how long it sits now or how the price drops..
