Moderators, please deal with ATXGT3. I have received multiple PM's about him and we would appreciate your help. Thank you.

I see this is a snowflake thread that only agreeing opinions are allowed...shame.
If you don't want honest feedback be a man just PM me and request you don't want feedback.
It's fine. No biggie.

Rob: It is very easy to add someone to the ignore list. Click on the user name, select "view public profile", then select "user lists", and from the drop down menu, select "add to ignore list". I understand your frustration, and with this method, RL will be much more enjoyable.

Thanks Nick - it's been a while. I think that Porsche did everything they could to make things right for its GT3 customers and drew a line under this long ago. If an issue arises with an engine in the future, I expect Porsche will consider a goodwill claim but doubt it will formalise anything by way of warranty. So far as Porsche is concerned, the engine is fit for purpose so, if anything goes wrong, I believe they'll look at issues on a case by case basis.

Here is the final version. Comments so far are positive with this proposed solution, so PM me if you see anything problematic with it.

Beyond 120K miles, owners should expect to do engine rebuilds at their own cost, since the car may spending many of those miles being driven hard.
I would just add that if engine failure causes other damage to the car (e.g., fire), that other damage should be included in the warranty as well.
If Porsche has confidence that relatively few engines will fail within 120K miles, this solution wouldn't cost Porsche much, and owners would still have peace of mind for a long time and protection on resale value.

That sounds like a fair and reasonable solution to me.

We did add...
This warranty would cover the damage done to the top-end and any related components impacted by the top-end failure.
Is this enough?

Guys, quick update.
Overwhelming response to this version, as most feel this is fair. The plan is to send this version out tomorrow, so PM me if you have any last second changes. Clean version is attached, and added to OP.

Whatever you do please take the part out about the car being a ticking time bomb and unsaleable - if you intend to send this around to media that's the part that will get headlines, and it isn't true.
As it stands the effect of this letter is going to be nothing from Porsche and maybe some incremental bad press about the car.
Sorry - I'm sure you mean well but I would not send this in current form.

I like where this is going. Thanks for putting this together.
Though one question I have is about "Market Value Deterioration".
I wonder if there's a way to get some numbers make a more compelling case. Like comparing 2014 vs 2015 days on market and/or transactional price/asking price ratios, also wholesale auction prices trends. Perhaps grabbing some basic listing numbers from various websites though actual sale price maybe tough.
Will dealers be willing to assist for this cause?
