Excellent behavior on part of all parties involved. Case lined out well, non-aggressive approach, a corporate response like it should be. This makes me very happy in an environment where a lot of companies just go the "fsck off" route.
It's in the interest of both Porsche and its customers to resolve this issue in a mutually agreeable way. I'm glad that Porsche is being smart enough to see the big picture and realize that.

So the people who posted saying your letter would end up in the "round file" at Porsche were wrong, eh, Rob? I'm glad they are taking the issue seriously.

Hey Tom. I can see why some people thought the letter might end up that way. Maybe most companies would have done that, but I truly believe that Porsche is an exceptional company. They reacted the way any awesome company would.

I guess I prefer to give them a chance, instead of assuming the worst. That's how any of us would want to be treated, right?

I am approaching the meeting with exactly the same attitude.

Update: Thanks for all the PM's and emails. I am trying to at least acknowledge everyone, but I have a few more to go. Again, thanks for the support.

Congrats on putting all of this together, no small task with a few too many naysayers.

Taking the high road is always the best way...

Not a GT3 owner yet, but currently in the market for one. Glad to hear Porsche took the right step to address owners' concerns. Thanks to OP for putting this all together.

Agreed, without more assurance it would be tough for me to consider a .1 and overall I'd rather buy a used (usually, depending on diff)
