One thing that might be nice to note is number of trouble free miles to date by some. I now have 22K and no problems yet. I don't track and hit 9K only some times as I usually short shift at 5 to 6K.

I do have a favorite driving spot with a lot of turns and often run at 6K up for about half an hour and often shift at 8.

thanks for your work on this. I too have been hoping to receive the fault error so I can get the update, but no issues to date with plenty of track time.

What is this world coming to when a guy can't get the CEL to come on?

19,400 miles; 6600 on track. No major issues with '14 E series engine. Replaced thermostat @ 7700 miles.

2015 engine. 7000 miles of daily driving. No track. No worries.

My numbers are similar with a '15 F engine. Had a couple codes come on which went away on their own and appeared to be of no consequence. Had rough idle a couple times, but that went away on its own also.

Rob, just got through the entire post. I have been away from RL the last month. Any developments? Thanks, your efforts are valid and worthwhile.

How do you know that? Your finger followers might already be worn and you didn't have the right conditions to turn that into a CEL?

Without removing the cylinder head you can't know.

The whole point about this big fuzz is the uncertainty between wear and CEL. We know that you need very high rpms to trigger the CEL, but very little information is available as to whether the wear needs very high rpms or not.
