The 991.1 RS is actually called the GT3, and the 991.2 GT3 is called the RS. The MSRP for the "new" RS is about $40K more. What will you purchase?

Not really. While it is a hypothetical question, it is a valid one as well. I have a 991.1 RS, but I almost passed on my allocation because I made an educated guess that the 991.2 GT3 would be equal to, or better, than the RS. in reality, 991 rs is significantly greater in numbers made and sold than 991.1 regular gt3... first time in PAG history this is the case

1.2 gt3 may be marginally quicker than 1.1 rs but less than 10% of owners of these cars can drive them well enough to extract the difference in performance... at the end of the day, 1.1 rs still has big advantage in grip/downforce so in most applications it will outperform 1.2 gt3

Even adjusting for the hyperbole that most reviewers use these days (esp folks like JB), seems like the .2 is a helluva car. Motor seems to have a unique sound, love it. Can't wait to see what the .2RS is like.
