(the 997.2 GT3 has the same plenum as the 997.1 3.6L).
Great! So the 4.0 plenum is a direct bolt on for the 3.8RS? What about the tune for this? Will I have to send my ECU over to you guys? Looking forward to this!

Waiting to see your before and after videos to see if there is a closure on this matter, in this forum.
Won't be able to do it on my car as the pipes are being installed as we speak, but we could run my car and my friends stock car back to back on the same road. Will get some results posted if no one manages to post before end of June.

Yes you need the lower plenums, boots etc... but it all bolts on without issue. It helps with power higher in the rpm range. Where are you in the world, you can send the ECU or we can send you the tool and remote in to do the tuning...

I will eat my hat if I proven wrong.

I absolutely agree.

Quote from Dundon:
We have 0.5sec 1/4 mile time gains, 40whp gains on our dyna pack dyno, a dynojet dyno belonging to a friend, and Titan Motorsports dyno showed 50+ whp gains on Matt Moreman's car.

50+ whp, I have nothing,,,, SMH.
I know, there is proof, so it has to be accurate.

You can't translate conventional wisdom to a completely different situation. 40hp at 8,250 rpms is only 25 lb-ft of torque, which is not insane when you consider the likely vastly different exhaust flow dynamics at 2x the "standard" engine RPMs (which is the likely reference point for the "shop").

40hp at this p/w ratio is only a couple or 3 tenths and 1 or 2 mph in the quarter, which is way inside the margin of driver error, so you need a more sensitive instrument. The only way to do that is with a dyno or vbox run at pretty high speed.

My car definitely sounds better, but I honestly didn't notice different straightway terminal speeds at Sebring. However, glancing at the speedo at 150mph on the back straight is hardly science and doesn't account for temp, tires, previous corner exit, etc. My laps were quite a bit faster, but I had new tires (so that's not scientific either).

Matt Mooreman has been pretty straightforward and critical of various exhausts, so I don't know why his dyno data would be biased.

LOL. Not sure Dundon will have that answer for you. I always look at it a different way, "What is the purpose of life" .......and to that I believe is self-determined. Only you can answer your own purpose of life.

Any update or new developments on the GT4 motor options? Really curious to learn more about these!

Parts went through a few revisions as some simple things like retaining clips for the wrist pins weren't available, so we had to redesign a few parts around the available retaining clips. That said, all is in process now, crank should be finished up in a few weeks, rod and pistons are also a week or two out. Will update all in a different thread once we have some of the parts here.

Jamie, will you guys be doing both the machining of the block and the install, or approving shops like BGB and DeMan for that?
