Didn't know about magnesium roof. Is that true? The height of the wing is just perfect.

Several of the journalists with early .2 GT3 reviews have been less than educated about the .2 GT3.

1-There is no magnesium roof on the .2 GT3.
2-Also, several of the recent reviews have stated that the .2 GT3 lacks a SMFW, in comparison to the .1 GT3, when in reality the .1 GT3 was PDK only, so it never had a SMFW, either.

The sound is incredible. Can someone train the journalists to keep their foot in rather than changing up at 8?!!

alex goy is quite entertaining, his joy driving that car is palpable

but there is little new info value in the piece, and the new car is really just a minor refinement of the .1 (new black accents are 'meh' imho)... of course, if its engine proves more reliable and the stick can be had, these do make the new one worthwhile

will be interesting when one of these 'journalists' does a head on head .1 vs .2 car...

i also wonder if they put the better paddle toggles from the rs into the new .2 pdk car...

Evolutionary vs revolutionary change. Incremental improvements not worth jumping ship for me. YMMV.

I find it a bit surprising that the first GT3 videos come from Carfection and Autocar! I was expecting Chris Harris and Drivetribe. I suppose they're waiting for the manual. Even the journos from Carfection,Autocar and Pistonheads were " complaining " about not being able to drive their favorite : the manual.
I think it's a really poor idea from Porsche to not let them test both version...I really don't get it!

Right... But they do have them! AP was driving a yellow one in a short vid coming from a German magazine. So was Walter Rohrl. Why not let them review it?! We all know that's what everyone is waiting for!

Nothing shocking

Right now they are marketing the PDK.

In 60-90 days it will be the Manual.

I kind of get what they are doing

They get twice the publicity this way. Everyone is hyped to see the new car review and a few months from now everyone will be excited to see the manual reviewed. Porsche is the king of marketing.

My opinion of Evo, once my pinnacle of automotive writing, sinks lower and lower every month. 99% of this was written before the car was driven. The driving part could have been written before the car was driven. Sad.
