For those that might want to hear some pure sounds from the Georgetown Stage of the Targa Tasmania, I put the following video together (no music or any nonsense over the top).

Matt's car is @ 14 seconds into the video - sounds great as he leans on the traction control round the corners, flat on the throttle and the PDK gear shift is just so fast and sounds great with the Akra!

I was there as part of the Targa Tour - the guys competing are complete nutcases (In the best possible way). No room for error and crazy speeds.

Can't wait to hopefully do it all again next year!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
I'm very lucky to have an opportunity to race a phenomenal car like this on such awesome roads - I have to pinch myself sometimes. It's a bit nuts but this is what these cars are designed for, and they eat it up all day long.

Recci is allowed while the road is open to the public (normal situation) but it's not practice - it's just no possible to replicate the sort of speeds and driving line while other cars are present. They would lock us up and throw away the key!

We rekki the stages at least one pass prior to the event (the closer the better).
When we recci we are just checking the pace notes for accuracy and checking the road surface conditions. It's really only the experience of doing the event multiple times which gives you the confidence to go faster.

Targa Tasmania 2018 wrap up video.

We were a lot better prepared this year and the RS was much faster due to many of the additions (see below).
Unfortunately, we didn’t finish due to an excursion off the road on the last day of competition while running a very close 2nd outright to the Dodge Viper ACR Extreme. (Puncture in the front left - gutting!).

A massive thanks to :
Porsche Centre Melbourne
Scuderia AutoArt
Akrapovic
KW Competition suspension
HRE Wheels
Dunlop tyres
Giro Discs
Targa Australia
Otherside Production
