Default Drove a GT3RS. I get it now!

It was not cheap, but oh so worth it. Went to the PEC, paid $950 for the GT3/Turbo module. Session is supposed to be 2 hrs, but you only get to drive for 90 minutes of that. 'How could that be worth it?' you ask. Well, they substituted an UV RS for the GT3 and I drove that for most of the session I think. Repeated launches and stuff you would probably never do with your own car. I am thinking about ordering a GT3 and was concerned with the suspension being too stiff for back road driving around here. It was not. I wanted to sit in the sport buckets and they were great. Ohhhh-to mat that throttle to redline again and again and feel the car positively glued to the track. I understand now the reason for the aero and especially for the PDK while on track. You could never shift fast enough to keep up with this car at full tilt. The turbo....well, it was a good car too, I guess. Nuff said. Do it if you can.

That's what I'm afraid of if I test drive an RS......I might not want a GT3.

I doubt you'd feel that way esp. if you aren't tracking it.

Same, expensive fear here on my end; debating going to a race car again or Mclaren as they are more readily available and not over MSRP

Oh they are readily available -- for a reason

And if you're worried about expense--be prepared for massive depreciation on the Mc.

I thought it would feel like too much of a race car to me. On the contrary, it was so well balanced and responsive. It felt like an extension of where I wanted to go, and in a sense easy to drive and control.

Took mine out today, just a damn fine car, and so nasty with an exhaust.

My 991TTS with sharkwerks exhaust, new michelin pilot 4S, and burmeister is sublime.

Agreed RS is great but I don't track much and I love the launch of the TTS and its just fine in the twisties.
