Yup, but we all knew a price increase would happen when many would post the car is under valued for what the GT3 offered. It playing poker, and the dealer sees your hand

Oh wow, nice. But, I don't use the OEM oil and/or the oil the dealer provides...

You can provide your own oil (though I wouldn't if it's not on the approved A40 list). At least you can get a free filter and labor, as well as a reset of the service indicator light...

There are over 200 Porsche A40 approved oils. Which snake oil are you using?

That is absolutely true. I absolutely use A40 since I want my warranty intact, lol.

Has anyone done Service 2 on a 991.2 GT3 yet? I thought it would need oil and be $400 or so, but I was just quoted $2,582.69 + tax = $2,789.31 in Atlanta today.

What surprises me is that it includes replacing the drive belts and the spark plugs. When I asked if that was necessary they said yes. Do you guys agree? My car is 1 year old, and it seems unusual / unnecessary to me to replace the drive belts and spark plugs on a 1 year old car.

When I asked the dealership's service department, they said my first service also should have included a spark plug change - but when I looked at the paperwork, it was just oil service. Did they miss something during service 1?

That's a lot but the porsche dealer labor rate is also crazy. There was a recent thread with required maintenance and mileage/timing for the GT3, I don't recall what is required for each interval but that should have the answers you are looking for.

If you’re at all inclined, changing plugs is an easy DIY at home.

Weird, first service is only oil and filter around 300.00 plus. Yikes in 2500 that’s more than Ferrari .....

Did you get an itemized estimate?

Most Porsche dealers charge over $200/hr labor. The itemized estimate will tell you how it's getting to $2800.

I’m guessing this was at perimeter Porsche?

If your car is only 1 year old, why are you (or allowing the dealership) to replace plugs and drive belt? It is not needed. I'm guessing you are on service 2 because you did an early oil change? Either way, you shouldn't need to replace plugs and belt. You should have only needed an oil change at 1 year.

I'm getting my free first annual service next week.

Which oil should I ask for? Is there usually just one option or can a dealer accommodate requests for the top 3 oils????

My GT3 is used for canyon runs, weekend trips, and light track work. (average 3 track days per year)

Usually the dealer has only one option.
