Default New Decals on my GT3RS

I had ordered some decals a while ago but the place I was going to have install them rubbed me the wrong way so I did not have them do it yet.

I was sitting bored at home and decided to get brave and try to put them on myself thinking how hard can it be.

At first I was like "why am i doing this?" cause I thought maybe I could mess something up but honestly it wasn't that hard.

I learned that if I put soapy water down before I apply the decal, made it easy to get any bubbles out and was even able to move it around for a second if need be.

I am taking my time so I am not done yet (bought a bunch of decals) but I already did the center stripe and the wing which is my favorite so far.

They won't come in for 10 days , so I have some time to think

Wow thanks for all the nice responses...

The local shop first quoted me $800 to do it and I was like that is crazy since I provided the decals, they then dropped to $450 but told me I would have to set an appointment.

I was thinking the costs of these decals was fairly inexpensive, i would have to screw up like 5 times on all decals to equal that $450 so I gave it a shot.

Don't know if I should show a link to the website i got the decals from but they came from Canada and I was shocked with the low prices and quality.

So far I put the 2 stripes going down the roof and back over engine area, don't want to do front bonnet because i think it will make the Porsche badge look awkward.

My first attempt of the roof had more bubbles then I liked but when I found out the trick with the soapy water things became easier.

Since I didn't do the front I have more then enough to redo the roof later but from a distance you can't really tell.

Going to California Speed Festival this weekend at Fontana so wanted to do something fun.

Still have the side ones to add but not sure if time will allow... we will see.

Had to add two small stripes on my 2010 GT3. Never again. Next time I would have a shop do it. I would gladly hand over 450.00 for that job. Probably would buy the shop guys pizza for lunch also.
If you want it perfect don't try this on your own. Your wife will find you in the corner of the garage talking to yourself.

What a great combo, love the silver and orange (and silver wheels). Normally not a fan of stripes but this is unique. 👏🏻
