I may be going crazy but I recall reading that some where. Every picture displays the darker cover/lenses. The GT4 tail lights are also supposedly tinted/darker that the other Cayman models, as well.

I like the look very much on the .2
Maybe a little darker in the pics I've seen online of actual .2 GT3s, but your/my comments were directed at some posted pics on this thread from the configurator where the lights looked almost black. That level of black I was not expecting.

Will production be limited?
"Production is not limited, but we have certain limitations in the daily outcome of how many cars we can build. Although we are open to it we cannot build 10,000, this car it will always be limited by the production capacity we have. We have about 4,000 or the last one and we are curious to see if that repeats, we are ready for that.

Best one was whoever it was here that said 9000 GT3RS If it was that much than the price will not stay that firm even now. Serious, 9000 GT3RS would be more than the Turbo/Turbo S they made over the same period. For 2016, Porsche made 32,409 911s TOTAL.
There is about 220-ish working days a year at the factory, and they do around 15-20 GT cars a day. The .1 GT3 was in production for about 18 months, rough calculations takes it to around 5000 cars total, but they did lose some time during the recall so ~4000 seems about right. The .1 GT3RS was in production for roughly the same time frame but towards the end it has to share the line with the 911R and so ~5000 GT3RS made.
For the .2 GT3, right now it is the only GT car on the line, but towards the end of the year it will need to share the line with the GT2RS.

Here's a WAG on GT3 and RS production through Dec. 2018, based on data shared by sources I trust on the subject. Some have suggested GT3 production will end in Dec 2018. How long will RS production go? Is this in the ballpark or too much of a WAG?

If the demand is there, they will be producing GT3s and GT3RSs well into 2019 just like they did with the .1s.

The issue this time around that might limit the production
of the .2 991 gt3 & RS is the Euro 6 Emissions 'extension'
that PAG received for that particular N/A engine. And it's
been reported that the extension might expire at the end
of 2018.

Is that only for Euro cars? If so, couldn't they just keep producing cars for North America if the demand is there?
