Would be funny if someone asked porsche these questions before speccing pccb. Instead we're all Gaga over "YELLOW CALIPERS" and "NO BRAKE DUST".. I mean, it's not like Porsche adjusts anything in suspension when they mount those rotors

Bingo! That's what I did. I don't care about lack of brake dust or the color yellow - My 997S drives with more agility than most Carreras i've tested - 44lbs off all 4 corners - HUGE

Race Technologies RE10 pads don't get the wheels dirty, but you're still stuck with those ugly red crisis edition calipers

Front PCCB vs RB CCB is not really apples to apples given the smaller diameter and swept area of the RB CCB.

I love the Porsche PCCBs, but the yellow color is a negative to me, not a positive. Would much prefer red ones. Look better with almost any color car and wheel. Wish Porsche would let you pick the caliper color like McLaren does.

That was how I took it. Only clicked back in the thread to see if someone else provided a clear position in favor of one over the other. I like PCCBs but not at the additional cost. At 5k, I'd a buyer, no question.

How great that would be.

Absolutely. I always spec my GT models with ceramic. Same with my 2015 Z06 and of course, now Ferrari have them standard (since 2008). I love the brake dust minimization, but I also want those models to be at their highest performance spec when I buy them. That weight savings improves, braking, handling, agility, ride, etc. I heard from a race car driver before that each pound in unsprung weight equals 4 pounds in sprung weight when it comes to those categories.

Disagree - yellow ceramics on white or black paint is stunning. Hideous on red and dark blues (smurf blue pulls it off well though)

Yup and rarely discussed - all I hear is brake dust comments from prospective buyers. Just look at what carbon fiber wheels did for Ford!

I'll save the $10k+ and go with the good old red calipers and heavy rotors and use the saves for track upgrades and tires.

Nope, I love brake dust and the smell of brakes. I'll never track a car that has ceramic rotors.
