Dunlop's vs Cup 2's - Some Feedback

Now that I have put 2,000 miles on the Cup 2's, much in warmer weather, I wanted to give some feedback.
I was able to get 13,000 miles out of my Dunlop's, as they came with the car. I found the grip of the Dunlop's excellent for street driving, mainly because they got up to temps pretty quickly. Within 15 minutes I was ready to throw my GT3 into corners, feeling serious G's without the rear tires making a sound. They did get noisy after about 9,000 miles, but the grip level was pretty consistent right to the end.
Unfortunately, the Cup 2's haven't been as good on the street. They take much longer to get the temps up, and more effort to keep the temps up. Even when they are warm, the rear just isn't as planted in the Cup 2's. I don't have the same confidence to throw my GT3 into a corner with the Cup 2's.
On the track the Cup 2's were fine, and within 2 laps they were good to go. Unfortunately I never used the Dunlop's on the track. So I can't really comment on track performance.
I have been out in colder weather on both tires, and even around 40 degrees they were both fine. Not a fan of either in the rain.
At this point I think the Dunlop's are superior for street driving, mostly because they get warm quicker, and provide superior grip. I think my next set will be Dunlop's, at least to verify what I think I am seeing now.
I will update this if my opinion changes.

Sport Race Maxx?
Had them on my GT4 and loved them on the track. Very grippy but short lived.
Separate note - is there an international rubber shortage? Why are all performance tires in short supply?

Probably just so few sports cars being made, and each seem to have custom tires.

I just put a new set of Cup2s on, and this is the first set that I didn't have to wait a week for. I was shocked when they said they had all 4 in stock.

dunlops have much less life when tracking the car compared to the Michelin. Something to keep in mind. If you only plan to see the track 1-2 time per year, then keep the dunlops. But if you plan to track more frequently than that, I would get the Michelin.
