Will be interesting to see what happens with the RS. The first year of the car was a flipping speculating hand wringing fest. Very few cars saw any track time. They are starting to show up on track these days, so we'll know soon enough

I'll let everyone know what the resulting diagnosis is. The tech wasn't as concerned when I told him I didn't notice any change in power and the fault said I could still drive the car. Stay tuned...

Engine has been pulled. It's showing wear on all valve levers but a bit more on the cylinder 4 lever. Photos are sent to Porsche, so now its back to the waiting game. I asked for the photos. I'll share once I have them.

I'll make sure I keep tracking my RS to make sure the gremlins are shaked out in short order.

The car now has 10K miles, it had 6K miles when I got it 6 months ago. Sorry about the confusion. What's more interesting is that I only did 1 track day and 3 autocross events with the car. The previous owner never tracked it.
SA says one of the cam lobe's is worn down as well. Trying to get photos of that.

Can you ask if these were intake or exhaust?

You don't see that kind of wear in a 250K miles engine that has been properly maintained.

When will Porsche finally admit to this issue?

I think they prefer to handle things quietly, Bronson.

Is the oiling system on the GT cars much different than the ''regular'' 9A1 engines?

SA heard back from Porsche. Looks like its a top-end rebuild for me. Repair scope #3 to be precise:
- Replace both cylinder heads
- Replace valve drive components on both cylinder banks (camshafts, valve levers, shims)
