I think if you drive a 570S and see how the dealer network operates, you may be one of many defectors. Oh, and I declined my GT3 .2 offer.
The problem with the .2 GT3 is that, at the moment at least, there is mor demand than supply.
The problem with McLaren 570S is that there is more supply than demand. Discounts easy to get. But I would never buy new. Right now I have the choice of over 60 low mileage or demo cars for up to 40,000 below sticker. Good car though.

hmm, that's very concerning. It does sound like Park Place is asking for $25k over MSRP on 991.2 GT3s. Can anybody confirm that? GM should really have let me know about a change in policy as he has always been super transparent.

I could see them asking OVER MSRP on the GT2RS or GT3RS, but it is a bit troubling that they'd do it for a GT3 if true.

Sams dealer is Plano, not Park Place.
I have not heard Park Place asking for over MSRP on new cars.

I have also gone to McLaren. My Mantis Green 570S is on its way!

Why you customers instead of pretending all together ,for either good reasons,

I WANT the first .2GT3 out or i go to McLaren!!!

there s no a brand neither (especially) Mclaren
that could absorb this hyper pretending market madness

Why don t wait few months and say life keep going?

that way your greedy US dealer will stop that crazy ADM party

but i see that nowadays common porsche (middle class) buyer personality is
i want it all i want it now
because you are more special right?

I am also considering a McLaren in preference to a .2 GT3 RS - why? because they produce several mighty fine sports cars, they are listening to the market and as a consequence producing product that is as good or better than anything Porsche is making. Also, McLaren are putting a lot of effort into their dealer network and after sales back up.

I doubt it for two reasons. First, this is what happens at the beginning of every cycle. The dealers are just trying to exploit enthusiast excitement to bleed every last dollar. Second, the dealers typically know next to nothing about what PAG is going to do regarding manufacturing and production.

Agree with the first and "want" to agree with the second.

For this $$$, dealing with ZERO BS, and look what you get for the $$. Can probably even get a slight discount and PTS anytime. Supercar look indeed. Competes looks wise to a 918 Spyder than a $100K base Carrera like any GT car.

My.02= the dealers have gotten away with raping customers for a long time now, too many have to have the "it" new vehicle, as soon as it comes out, and the dealers know that there are a few who are not concerned about money and therefore, will overpay through the nose (a/k/a "market adjustment") ......they are in it to take advantage of the situation and max out their profit....this is how capitalism works, right supply and demand?
and now it even seems this new reality is so, even if the customer has had a longstanding business relationship.....sad, very sad....so multiple purchases doesn't really help to maintain the business relationship, if they are going to sell the latest over mspr. All those who literally bought into that premises got duped? Made you feel special by promising you " in the future....... the next allocation....." and then, oh yeah, here it is, PDK at a premium or lose your slot...in other words, "oh so you want a manual? Well, they will be delayed......*cough cough*...and hard to come by, but if you are willing to pay ???$$$$ over sticker, achem, market adjustment...then we'll see what we can do..... it is BS and will not stop until the buyers stop coming in the door...which won't happen...so buckle up and watch....it is wrong, imho, but watch how many will gladly plunk down the $$$ and sign on the doted line...there are a select few honest decent dealers, but becoming more and more like endangered species.......what a shame.

I also tend to think that the values of GT3RS are due for an adjustment and no dealer wants to overpay for inventory and have to sit on the showroom floor at the wrong price......

okay, back to regularly scheduled programming......

I'd keep the RS if you want PDK.

Only MAJOR reason I see to upgrade from your car is for 6-speed.

Trade up to next RS when the time comes (IE get deposit in NOW)....don't know if you are going to save $100k on a trade now anyways.....my .02

I submitted a build code for the GT3 and am having second thoughts, thinking of also picking up a McLaren instead, either a 570 or even a 650S. Unless you just have to have a Porsche, the technology upgrade to McLaren is compelling. My neighbor just traded his GT3 and a Z06 and bought a 570S and absolutely loves it, it's amazing inside, like Tesla cool, with petrol and a carbon tub!

One of the great things about RL is the people here own lots of different makes and models. Maybe go have a taste of McLaren for a while. Share your experience here, as I am sure many people would find it interesting. Cool cars are cool cars.
