Default GT3RS Prices

Ive been off Renlist for about a year as I've been deep in the prancing horse. I just traded my 488 GTB for a 488 Spider and came back around to see that there are tons of GT3RS for sale now which has peaked my interest as my 991TTS has been collecting dust and thinking of making a trade.

Interestingly, Some of them are at reasonable prices with few miles. Whats the deal here. A year ago these were all going for 75K over? Ive searched a little but the only thing I can come up with is lots of folks bought them as flippers and now there is talk of the 991.2 RS and the GT2 and a MT so people are no longer that interested in the GT3-RS.

Thanks..

Back in 09 the $100K depreciation after 1.5 year use was a hard lesson for me too.

They're cars, not investments. Anyone think super high over MSRP will ever last the life of these cars? They all drop eventually when new models come out. Porsche cars aren't a mutual fund.

"Tons"? Your definition is different than mine.

About the same amout of 488GTBs on AutoTrader as RS's.

Prices have softened a bit. Likely you will still pay have to pay $40K over for a nice RS.

Here we go again!....

OP, I do suggest you read the countless other threads here all dealing with the same issue. You really don't even have to scroll down that far to find them.

But being the nice fellow that I am, I'll summarize what the sum total of all the posts (mainly by folks who don't own one) about RS values state.

"The RS is a worthless piece of cr$p and nobody should buy one!"

What?? That would have been the first year of the 997.2 Turbo, which were going for $160k or so? Doesn't seem possible,as they are still going for $80k+.....just checked cars.com

Typical -- bunch of Smart a** Remarks. I swear sometimes forum folks are so smarmy. I'm just curious if I missed something with the RS and why values have dropped so much in just a year. As far as depreciated value of my TTS I don't recall even asking about this and how do you know I even care. Maybe I'll just keep it or give it to my daughter. If I was to trade it The 70- 80k loss doesn't mean that much to me after 2.5 years.

Yes, some strange answers given. People confused your RS price question with the turbo. The correct answer is that things have cooled off as people have moved on to the next new thing. I was just offered a nicely equipped white RS for $20k over.

That's pretty good! Was this from a dealer or private party? In Texas?
