A close friend with a Spyder in Fashion Grey took his car to the local dealer today for a comparison with the Chalk / Crayon color panel.

He took some picture both outdoors in the sun and indoors of the Chalk panel sitting on his Spyder for comparison for me. Have a look At the photos.....the best we have to date for comparison.

Great work... but is it just me or do they look identical? What did your friend say?

My friend said the colors are very close.....that was his view. We really need to see both of the colors on vehicles parked next to each other.

It seems Chalk is a touch lighter shade of Grey. The Grey colors really change with the different outdoor settings......my view as an owner of a Marble Gray (non metallic color from 1986) as pictured below.

I can't see the diff in the indoor photos.

This is a case for a pro adjustable camera
with a 18% gray balance card.

Maybe the camera settings are different between the sets of photos or perhaps different chalk swatches?

The "vagaries" of chalk are why I switched to GR. Besides grey is too mellow for this beast!

I took my pics of the paint samples with an iPhone 6 if that matters. No filters or anything.
