Are you upgrading from your 991.1 to a 991.2 GT3?
This is a poll for current owners of the 991.1 GT3 only. Are you going to sell your 991.1 GT3 and buy the new one?
I voted no for a few reasons. First, I am happy with my PDK, so no burning desire to have a manual. Second, the power difference is only 5%, which I can easily make up with headers and a tune. Third, the price difference between selling and buying, when all is said and done would probably pay for 2 top end rebuilds, maybe 3. And lastly, I prefer the styling on the 991.1, although it is not a major factor.

Well....I jumped to the .2.... My .1 was taken back at MSRP , so basically I drove the car for free for the past few years and I get new warranty. But most importantly , I have a chance to get the options I should of gotten the first time around..

Now that is a sweet deal! Doubt I could get that here in Colorado!

Yea I'm switching to the .2 , I moved from the GT3 to the RS and loved both cars but really preferred my original 991 GT3 over the RS. Selling my RS for a healthy profit I'm now looking for a Spyder to buy (not easy!) while I wait for the new GT3 .2 to come in, Euro delivery and all that. I found that with the lower rev limit on the RS I would hit it much more frequently than in the 3 and I just like the less busy appearance on the 3. I think the new one will be a happy medium between the 2 but I think everyone keeping their older generations will not miss out on much

Maybe. I want to upgrade. But when the .2 RS is out I will want that too. That's a problem in Dubai because getting in and out of cars causes you to lose a lot of money even on Porsche Gt models. Not to mention I also want the 580-2 and the 488 speciale when it is out. So it's a tough decision for me as to whether I should upgrade or just wait & see for now. It doesn't help that porsche facelifts are just modest evolutions. To the untrained eye I would be driving the same car I have now but in a different colour. i.e. from red to yellow, maybe Gt silver.

My order is in, PDK, and I have my commission number. I may change color before the pre-production lock up; currently white. For me it is all about the anticipated reliability of the new engine and factory LWB's, that those of us with '14s were not able to get.

I'm a "no."
I have a '15, which came equipped with LWB seats and the nose lifter. To me, those were the two most important options on the car. I'm fine with the PDK, although I drove manuals virtually my entire life until the PDK was invented. I still enjoy a stick on the street, but a badly broken ankle years ago (skydiving - the ground attacked me!) has always prevented me from doing a proper heel and toe shift. So PDK is perfect for the track.
Since I have the options I want, and would just replicate them in a newer car - is 25 bhp, a little extra torque, and the chance to get a couple of other options worth the price of a new car? Not to me. It's a keeper, at least for the foreseeable future. I got it below MSRP, new in Jan. of 2015, and no matter how much I could sell it for I'd still take a considerable hit on a new one.
So put me in the "keeper" camp.
