.2 GT3 - Lift or no lift??
What would you choose for the purest driving experience? Is there a noticeable difference between the 2?
In the U.K.the majority will spec lift as I have previously, but I also miss the raw feeling of my old 996 GT3 and given the manual option which I will go for, I'm also thinking of gong without lift, but I've never driven a 991 GT3 or RS without lift.
So I would really appreciate any views from those that have experienced both on a 991 gen GT car.
Cheers

My GT3 had it, my RS doesn't. Most people say to get it. I personally haven't missed it on the RS (yet). For me (just me) it doesn't matter for driving the car but I could see if I was putting it on a trailer regularly that it would help a ton.

88mm.
Of ground clearance.
Basically the width of a Post-It note.

I'll just say this....it's just another thing that can and will break plus it adds weight.

is this something you can add after you buy the car if needed? order from factory/dealer and pay for install?
like Martin mentioned, i don't want the weight or extra things failing. $hit, i'll pay Porsche to keep the radio and ac!

I don't believe you can order it from the factory but there has been after market companies making lift kits, not sure if they would fit the gt3.

I would get it even if you only use it a couple times a year. They lowered the price on it and forget about the weight. The car has over 500 hp - you aint going to feel the difference

Depends on your area. Ask local drivers of the .1 GT3 for their opinion. Different height, and overhand for all 997 GT models, GT4, and the 991 RS models, so those opinions don't matter.
Just ask local drivers of the .1 GT3.
For example, I would never buy or drive a 991 GT3 without a lift in Southern California or the Bay Area, however I didn't really need the lift when I lived in surburban Philadelphia.

I use it every day
Helps get the car on a trailer
Does not affect handling
Weight is negligible
If you ever sell the car you don't have to explain why it doesn't have one
If this is the thing on your gt3 that you're worried about is gonna fail, you should read some old posts.....least of my worries.

Agree with above. I had it on my 15' GT3. Driving in SoCal, I would have torn the lip numerous times if I did not have the lift. Cannot drive without it here.
