Every car I have in small collection is manual. But zero interest in a modern RS with manual. That rush to redline, slam to next gear and rifle up/down gears is insane. I have manual touring coming but It just feels wrong to put old tech in RS badge.
I think most would agree with you, but it would be nice for Porsche to at least offer a manual. My guess would be 40 percent of buyers would choose manual. 53% of the 991.2 GT3's have been spec'd in manual even though manuals weren't produced until October.

I suspect this is due to (1) the performance difference between the PDK 991.1 GT3 and PDK 991.2 GT3 isn't that great and does not outweigh the cost of jumping to the face-lifted model for the majority of current PDK .1 owners, (2) much of the appeal for the .2 GT3 (from current Porsche owners) is coming from buyers who want the MT...first time buyers from other brands (BMW etc.) appear fairly agnostic and most select the PDK for its performance edge and finally (3) you have those playing the investment game...last NA MT GT3 produced.
