I'll give myself credit for predicting a mid engired GT3 RS on RL before anyone else thank you very much

Makes perfect sense. Just look at current RSR. Easy peasy.

Although .2GT3 shares same engine not only is RS state of tune up'd at least 35 horses (no 4.2 needed plus they are not racing a 4.2) but light weight wide body panels and mid engine and active (?) aero or greater aero make it the undisputed GT King. Hardcore!

991.1GT3RS the last of the traditional rear engined RSs.

Now all I have to do is be right!

Thanks for the info, heard the same thing on timing and production for the 2RS, sounds about right for price (high 2's base?)

GT4RS with a 4.0 later this year (assuming Frankfurt), GT3RS next year at Geneva. Mid engine would be nuts, I'm not betting on that but I suppose wouldn't rule it out. The 4RS sounds like it will be the hardest to get, as in forget it in the US if you aren't in the 918 program.

Less than a week after the new GT3 and rumor mill for the next thing is churning as much as ever. Gotta love it...

Think some of you guys have mixed up mid engine 991.2rs with gt4rs.

Both will be using 4.0l engine so I can see how this would happen.

Are we talking about >$50k worth of options? I heard price was <$275k and not aware of too many must-have options on this car...

then expect a very hard core product to differentiate from 2GT3

havent you noticed in .2GT3 presentation the words
more comfortable and rear seats too many times?
Next real step-up in EU emissions is not until 2021.

Mine will have $50k in CCX options. Will be charged to remove stuff. Not add.

Ha! I needed someone to agree with me here. Whatever works. But for the record I deny the allegations and allege fraud.

991.1GT3RS the last of the traditional rear engined RSs.

Well, I do hope that you're right. If so, 991.2 RS will be epic (and I'll be getting one)...991.1 RS will have its place in history...and my antique heap, 997.2 RS will be the last RS (exception of LE RS 4.0, of course) with manual transmission, mezger, hydraulic steering, compact 997 body...blah blah blah...we'll all be happy.
Enjoy the snow day!
