Before we all get too excited, and I hate ruin the mood and all the woodies here but let's not forget about that little "VIP" thing and our friendly neighboorhood dealer "market adjustments".

Ok, back to our regularly scheduled Porsche fantasy programing.

Unfortunately for a non-VIP, you are correct. And the chances for me or TRAKCAR to pick up the next 997-4.0 LE equivalent at or near MSRP is a lot smaller than it was with the 997, even if econ bottom falls out. Although the flipping would be gone; so maybe no reason for some VIPs to buy next LE if no built in money-in-the-trunk? I'm not sure I'm going to root for conditions so dire that a VIP passes on his allocation though. Because the world will have a lot bigger problems than GT market.

There will definitely be a 991.2 RS with a NA engine, but no manual transmission option. They'll likely further separate the RS from the GT3, in terms of performance.
Porsche is well aware of demands for the GT cars...I just don't see them leaving money on the table.

It would be nice, just once, just once if an average guy (ill volunteer ) gets a VIP car at msrp. I'm high on the list for GT2RS at my dealer and have been referring customers.

Seems like nothing else to do during blizzard except dream.

AP will be busy,

991.2gt3
991gt2rs (hopefully showing at Goodwood and released this fall)
991.2rs Geneva 2018
Gt4rs Geneva 2018

This will definitely take away the attention from 991.2gt3 after a year of production. (When 991.2rs will be launched)

My guess is that gt4rs will be LE. Everything else limited by production.

I don't think anyone ACTUALLY knows but I think timing of gt2rs will tell us something. If it's released sometime this summer, that opens the door for GT3RS next spring in gva. If gt2rs not until next March, who knows?? Haven't the Gt3/RS always been gva releases?

GT2RS is confirmed for Goodwood debut. Car will not be a limited edition, but rather limited production due to high pricing. Be prepared to shell out 325k+ (with options)!

I know I'm getting one!
