is anybody sure about presentation in Geneva from 8-18.March.2018?

i saw a dealer pre-production/slots/allocation xls plan - and it showed production for EU is March till Aug 2018. 1 till 1,5 times GT2RS units.
So if they produce already customer cars in March.... mhh regarding pre-ordering: should take longer than a couple of days to get the parts from the suppliers. don´t think porsche is risking odds / or risking to have longer time different parts on stock.

So you think they'll announce it in LA? I doubt it, I think it'll be Geneva 2018. I think they'll pump out the GT3RSs for the EU first and then US & ROW after that well into 2019.

i don‘t know.

what else would be in Geneva otherwise?
i was told ones a GT4“RS“.

maybe it will be a revival of 2015. RS and new GT4.

and they put the 4.0l engine also in the GT4. to give the guys who miss the 2.GT3RS a PlanB.

184k€ was .1GT3RS
86k€ the GT4

each one will be minimum +15% for the new model.
if GT4(RS) will come with the 4.0l / 400-450hp it will likely be +15% + another 20k. which would be still a bargain.

an why not to push on selling the 4.0 - also in the Cayman - till Aug.18 (for EU). using another assembly line for the cayman should make things easier.

but first have to come a regular GT4... and if normal GT4 will be 4pot turbo. i think there will not follow a GT4RS with 4.0l.

i have to check the Cayman forum.
or could someone summarise the gossip about the new GT4 or GT4RS?

Production starts in March so if Porsche is true to form, it will be announced around 3 months in advance so it could be very soon.

Wishful thinking but it’s a different model....GT3 RS has never been an optional package....

Just had my dealer switch my .2 GT3 allocation to a .2 GT3RS allocation. He indicated that he expects to lock me in around 3Q'2018. The wait begins...I will try and get more details on the specs of the .2 RS.

Yes, delivery in 3Q'18 for the first builds. He mentioned that configurations and deposits will start to be taken in about two months or so (which suggests late January). My suspicions is that Porsche will launch the .2 GT3RS in 1Q'18 with builds starting in Spring or early Summer for Fall 2018 deliveries.
