The 991.1 RS is a fabulous, functional, work of art. However, I am certain the 991.2 GT3 will be significantly faster around the Nordschleife. No question.

Note: Some are saying the new GTS is faster than the 991.1 RS around the 'Ring.

Some are saying something... but sometimes they never even saw the RS in person.

^^ yup, there's the interwebz and there's reality..

I've not driven. GTS and I believe it's too far off a GT3RS to beat it in Ring laptimes.
But I do believe without having driven one that a TTS is faster on equivalent rubber then an RS.

So, I love NA in my hot rod 964 but in my laptime creator 991 I prefer the GT2RS..

That "some" is right in your back yard. Do your research. I will help you get started: Sport Auto and 911 World, the respected German and British publications.

You insecure 991.1 RS owners (and there are a couple of you around here) are entertaining and border line annoying.

I will take the liberty and give you some advice, stop driving your ***** and enjoy what you have. There will always be something faster, more desirable and probably better.

does somebody believe in something special?

4.2l
MT
weissach option

i thought that it will be just a facelift - same car as we know it + fine tuning.

but i think already that there could happen something special as long there is no time for a "new 997 4.0"

I have doubt for the MT...I think only PDK
I hope more than just a 4.0 (or 4.2) with 525 hp. Th solution is the weight I dream of a real lightweight GT3 RS...

I wasn't watching the market when the 4.0 came out, was there the same mass hysteria as there is today, or could you just show up at the dealer and buy one?

Similar to .2 GT3 with $70,000 ADMs rather than $30,000

my (worthless) opinion
4.0 w/ 525
PDK only
GT2RS aero and bits
revs to 9K
favorite dish: Italian food

oh and if your name doesn't end with Audi, VW, or Porsche, you aint getting one.
