so we are looking about a 6month production run for the .2GT3RS? woah, these things will demand a premium that will make R and 4.0RS owners blush.

I can't believe the 991.2 GT3 RS will only be produced for only 5 months. They would be lucky to produce 500 cars in that time with the GT3 and GT2 production going at the same time. They wouldn't bother with testing and certifying the car for such a small production window. Production for NA won't likely start until after July.

The regulations he refers to only apply to Europe so the information might be getting crossed somewhere. I know we have confirmed builds going out to December for the USA but is there anything confirmed into September for European production?

I'm guessing the RS will get produced for the world markets until the end of the calendar year at which point we'll see the 992. European production may stop prior to Sept 1. Just conjecture...

Yeah, maybe for EU that'll just build through Sept and then cut it off but they'll keep pumping the .2GT3RS into 2019 for NA and non-EU countries as the car will be a MY19. First deliveries for NA will be probably be Sept 2018 but maybe a little later if they want to pump out EU cars through Sept.

it will be an interesting production run that's for sure!

and I don't care when they end production, I got my build coming in June

I don't really see them making a car they can't sell in their home continent into the next year over starting the replacement model but I don't have the actual answer (I'm not even 100% sure they can't build in the EU into September). Where is your information that it's going to be MY 2019 coming from?

Keep in mind this is a bean counter company they care more about too many parts in the bin vs a few more sales.
