Default Production Year vs Model Year

Question:

In the GT lineup (GT3/GT3RS, etc), does the model year (and accordingly the MSRP) change based on the production year.'

For example, the 991.1 GT3 was produced in 2014, 2015, 2016.
1. Did the model year change based on when it was produced? It appears yes.
2. Did the MSRP change based on the model year? It appears the MSRP stayed the same for all 991.1 GT3s produced and all 991.1RS produced.

For example. the 991.1RS was produced in 2016 and 2017.

OR, because it's a different division, the model year and MSRP is set and they just keep producing them until they are done.

Quick answer, production date and vehicle model year are separate items and match up for only about half the calendar year. It varies wildly depending on each manufacturer, individual models and production locations also.

example: 2014 GT3 produced in 13 and 14
2015 GT3 produced in 14 and 15

And all of them are 2016 models. Mine is a very late one with a March 2017 delivery date (immediately off the truck) but still a 2016. (Annoys the wife for some reason.)

RS was built in 2015 and 2016, not 2017. All are MY2016.

If you're referring to me, that's what I said. MY16 bought in 17.
