$330 for Red Steering Wheel Marker?

I have seen options but this option is just plain ludicrous. Is this somehow VW recouping money from their scandals.

Heck, I can just put a red tape/rubberband on the wheel marker.

This is truly milking the demand

I think there was a 991.1 GT3 guy that paid over 3k for this exclusive option. The rest of us used tape. 330 seems fair to me.

Yes leather is Exclusive and $$$ (that thread explained the process which was very complicated.) The lava stripe in my RS (alcantara) was $325.

If I remember correctly it is not just tape as in 997.1 GT3.

Think it is stitched into place so it will stick.

Red sterilizer (autoclave) tape. Works perfect and won't change with in car heat.

Or Gaffer Tape as used by stage hands etc....

Although, I would say MARV is a unique guy. He popped up on the .2 GT3 thread for an appearance which was nice. Mentioned if his benefactor would buy him one? We need more MARV here. Don't be MIA.

When I spec'd my 15 GT3 (8/14) Melissa Witek w/ Exclusive said I could have the yellow 12 o'clock as a CXX for $3000. I kid you not.

How about $54,000 for CXX painted stripes on a 911R? Welcome to the world of Porsche :roflmao:

Not even an option for the leather steering wheel so it's gaffers tape for me. I'd pay $330 for it from the factory, but not $3,000.
