My dealer has told me my orders been submitted and that I'm 1st in the 3rd production block? He has said the car will be built in 2018 but I haven't gotten much info other than that.

Does anyone know what exactly this means? I just sent my guy another email to see if I can verify if I've got an allocation number yet or anything, I'm guessing I'll be getting a 2019 car at this point.

I've got a march build and honestly couldn't care less about all the V codes that people email their dealer about every month or so. 2 years ago, I placed a deposit and didn't bug my dealer once about it. One day, I got an email saying I got an allocation. Went in to configure it and sign some papers. Now I'll just wait for the email that says the car is ready to be picked up

You are blessed...but then you are a monk!
And perhaps all that prayer, meditation &
righteous communal living does pay dividends
when it comes to getting a modern gt3 from
Porsche....

Unfortunately the rest of us non-monks
have to deal with all the hassles of limited
allocations, v180 waiting rooms for PTS after
getting your allocation, trade-in negotiations
for your current gt3....plus all the gossiping
energy spent on Rennlist 'kvetching' about
it as you wait! Trust me, you are better off
in your sublime state of Nirvana!

Saludos,
Eduardo

I'd prefer not to know. After the car locks, I don't talk to the dealer until I get the call that the car's arrived. It's like getting an extra surprise birthday.

I would guess that it means that a demand order has been submitted to PCNA and PAG. Your place in line might just be related to number of demand orders they have submitted. You are now waiting for an allocation assignment from PAG/PCNA.

For me, following the build process/tracking is a part of the fun.

But that's me.

I submitted my build and told the dealer I wouldn't be making any changes; just tell me when it locks and when its being delivered. He laughed and said that I'd definitely make changes, but I have no intention of changing anything. I think you just chase your tail if you overthink things. And I want to forget about it, so the time passes quicker.

I think it's fun to follow but you can't get upset when the dates move because they nearly always do. Mine got move up 6 weeks but I will believe it when I see the car.

Just found out my car was born on the 10th, about 3 weeks early. Was supposed to be 12/01. It's waiting for its boat ride to Houston. Gave them back the .1 a couple weeks ago.

Ditto,
My car has been waiting for a ride to Jacksonville since 11/10. Next scheduled PWL carrier is 11/29; fingers crossed.

I bugged my dealer 3 times, once after touring option came out, then another when they figured the initial kinks in the configurator and I could do alcantara sun visors and lastly I just changed the color..

I'm hoping I can make it to February without changing my build again..

I played around on the configurator to pick my options submitted them to my SA and just followed up a few times to check PTS status and timing of the build. My car is supposed to arrive at the dealer in early Feb 2018 but mentally I'm ready for it to get delayed a bit. If it comes on time or early, that much better.

Good thinking- Once submitted; after much thought, move on.

Was I late to the game or is this a fishing expedition?....after months of being on the list my SA called and said they are sold out of GT3s....he went on to say they are getting calls from all over the country offering 30K over MSRP. I have never paid MSRP let alone above...but I can't help but wonder if 40K over would have magically produced an allocation.

No allocations but you can get a couple dealer specced cars over at the new Irvine dealership for a mere $35k ADM. Another automation dealer so not surprising.
