I agree with you for the most part. "Relationships" will work provided you have an "honest" dealer that fulfills what they tell you, or honor what you have put down in writing. As you have said, in a "typical" business transaction, $money$ talks, BS walks. This reminds me of the clip in the movie Jerry Maguire.

Flippers gonna be happy again. No more current GT cars built after Sept 2018. Looks like all the speculation of tons of cars for everyone is not going to happen.

Nah man, it's either. If you have a ton of money, but no personality, you can find a dealer to buy into. If you have a great personality, you can get allocation at MSRP. Not every dealer can be bought- or charmed. Most people THINK they have a good personality, but actually don't. In the end, every transaction is personal, and if you try to find too much of a pattern, you will end up spinning your wheels and going crazy. IMO.

Fully agree with that. It takes two to tango.

Even the good guy dealers are in it to make money so it needs to be a mutually beneficial relationship where both parties come out ahead. The dealer that gets me a GT car at MSRP will allows be the first one that I call when it comes time to sell the car, it's just the right thing to do in my mind and even if they offer me a little less than what I can get in a private party transaction I'll still sell it back to them because that's how we keep the relationship going. Yes, being a person that is likable I'm sure doesn't hurt things.
