Will the 991.2 GT3 be a $300K car?

I'm glad that everyone has cooler heads and looking at this pricing more realistically. Though I've purchased several porsche's new over the years (from the same dealer primarily), I've never been able to make it onto the GT3 list. Also, Southern California is somewhat of it's own unique sub-market for these cars as I've heard that going out of state typically will result in better deals.
In any case, it always comes down to supply/demand at the end of the day, and it would be nice to be able to get into one for a "reasonable" price. MSRP all day long of course. A $10K mark-up is in win in our market, lol.

The .2 GT3 and RS are going to remain different from a price/value perspective. Porsche are very clear on that. Just the differences in aesthetics and build materials used will make them so.
I'm also of the opinion that the .2 GT3 will be widely available and its production will only be limited to production capacity. Those who want one, will get one. I would also expect depreciation of the model to kick in, albeit less than regular 911's. Bear in mind that there will be both model years, '17 and 2018. A two year production cycle is expected.

They've made 6.000 991.1 GT3s! They will make 7.000 easy this time around. It's unreasonable to pay a dime over MSRP. I've said it each time but people never learn,so...good luck!

With the anticipated demand, they're going to make as many as every man, woman, and dog would want to buy. No way they'll miss this opportunity to increase market share, especially having invested in the engineering that went into all the changes in the NA engine. I'm looking forward to seeing this NA engine in the 991.2 RS that will surely come as well. No markups if you don't need to be the very first on the block to drive this car. Even my dealer begrudgingly admitted to this.
Why does Porsche listen and respond to their client base? Simple - because they are a for-profit company.

Not surprised to see around $180k-$190k range for the car.

Just a few months ago Mustang GT350's were going $30k over sticker and flying out of the lots. Why would a greatly anticipated Porsche GT car that has the whole community this hype, NOT go for $50k over.
I would get comfortable with the idea because that's what we're most likely going to see. The markups will be as high as the stock market.

Given what the 991.2 GT3 will likely do to RS resale values, there is a lesson for those contemplating paying a dime over MSRP for today's new halo car. There will likely be second stickers for those who want to be first, but 300k is beyond ridiculous. Silly.
A fool and his money will soon part ways.

Working with RS Werks on that Gulf Blue one they have right now. Hope to have that in 4-5 months.

Expecting around $200k range, depending on options.
