Good bet if it's the last NA, 6-speed and engine isn't a time bomb.

I would think the RS would stabilize in price, the R should definitely take a hit, though not sure if huge.

I actually paid even more than that for mine. Don't regret it. I have just lost the same amount of money I would have done if I spent that kind money on something like a brand new McLaren or Ferrari, and driven them 30k km. The RS has delivered me as much joy as any of the Ferrari's or Lamborghini's I've owned. So to me it's been worth everything I paid for it.

Normally after the new GT3 comes out, how long does it take for the RS version of it to come out? If the rumors of the .2 RS coming out and not being limited are true, that would create a bigger impact on the other cars I would think.

Last year of the run would be my guess. I'd think these cars will be 18-19 and the RS will be 19. It will likely match the final year of the GT3 because of NHTSA requirements.

So it would be a MY 2018/2019 car? That seems pretty close from now.

I wonder if the GT4RS is still a thing though. Wouldn't that have to come before the .2 3RS?

Gt2rs is next! Then maybe 991.2rs or only limited edition send off model.
I have a feeling the 991.2gt3 will be a huge success and take up a lot capacity on the line for the next 20months.

The whole idea of the new GT3 being 4.0 kinda makes me think there HAS to be a .2 RS coming out. But I find it complicated with the GT2RS and the GT4RS supposedly coming as well. The GT3RS would have to come after.

Word I had was IF the GT3 went to a 4.0 then there would be NO RS. But..I was wrong about the 3.8 being in the .2. It (3.8) was tested but clearly wasn't up to it.

The purist will not, the collectors will. Like they say, Porsche makes a car for every segment.

Buy the car because you love it and will play with it . If you are an investor just remember " you didn't pay too much you just payed too soon "

Completely agree.

If they cost and would be valued at the same amount, I would pick a manual 991.2 GT3 all day over the 911R.
