What I am reading is a 25hp increase, MT option, a sport steering wheel and cosmetic exterior changes for an additional $13,000. What am I missing? Porsche is always evolutionary, not revolutionary Expect the next RS to add another 25hp I'm just pumped for the manual |

Think there will be a .2RS? Odds are against it since there will be a GT2RS.

As expected, marginal performance improvements quoted by Porsche with a $10k+ price hike. Hopefully 4.0L engine will prove to be more robust, however, it is equally stressed as the 3.8 @125hp/ltr. Addition of MT gives PAG the opportunity to increase the production run of .2 GT3s since everyone of them will be sold, especially if the current stock market levels hold. I would expect nicely equipped cars will push the current RS MSRP.
Big question, as others have noted, is the lack of info on RPM. Also another question is whether rev limiter will be the same for MT and PDK equipped car. Unless the gearing of the MT and PDK are signidicantly different I do not comprehend the big difference in 0-62 times. Maybe different limiter levels explains a big chunk of the difference in quoted times to 0-62. I think this car will be a gold mine for Porsche. It seems to have minimal improvements over the .1 and the development costs for the tranny as well as the engine have already been absorbed by the R and the RS. Bring them on! |
Let the flip fest commence....I think the first flipped GT3 allocations/cars will be $35k-$40k over. :corn:

The 997.2 had a GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS, and GT3 RS 4.0. I wouldn't be surprised if they end the 991 generation similarly. And I'm on the list for all 4. |

Yup, we'll get both because Porsche can sell a bunch of both cars. It's all about the dollars!

Same horsepower and 1 less torque than the 991.1 R/RS. Curious to know how the engines differ...
Make mine a MT in Volcano Grey, please! |

I say ADM will be $45-55k easily. I have little faith in the goodwill of men. |

I was working with 2 years ago...but was to get my current C4S. Now I am 2 years away from a GT3 purchase which seems like a reasonable lead time.
So you're saying I needed a 4 year conversation? |
