The call the yellow one a GT3 RS. Maybe I'll go down there and see if they want to trade RSs.

Seriously, I want to know how they got these cars. Doesn't make sense that someone would sell these cars to an independent dealer and leave margin on the table for them.

They got these cars by overpaying. They gave the seller what he wanted, he was smart enough to not ask $1M after realizing that this car wasn't "limited" and all the talk didn't represent real transactions. Now this dealer has to convince someone to pay this much for the R... I don't think they will.. I do think they'll choke on it. How many acuras will they have to sell to cover that loss?

That's the thing. I've never found the used car departments of major car dealerships to be stupid when it comes to the buy price. So it's hard for me to believe they paid top dollar for those cars and assumed such high risk if the spread was that small. That makes no sense to me.

They didn't buy the cars with monopoly money, they used a floor line which costs them interest very single day. They thought they were smart by paying MSRP + X and trying to get MSRP + X + Y. Expect that the real price could have been MSRP + X. The longer they sit on the cars the more they'll lose. Again, they are an Acura dealer trying to sell 991Rs...we aren't talking about Porsche North Houston here. I mean, they called one of the cars a GT3RS...that tells you enough.

Might be interested in seeing if the owner of the dealership is a VIP Porsche client...or one of his friends are a VIP using the dealership as a front to sell...it doesn't add up that an Acura dealership has 2 extremely rare 911's...

Cheers

The likely scenario. An Acura dealer isn't buying R's second hand at a high premium trying to flip them.
