So has anyone had any interaction or heard any rumors about what is going on with Bob Hindson Racing since this incident?

Aaron and Luis at Bob Hindson Racing?

Busy eating donuts and still doing work.

Busy posting lots of pics to Facebook to dilute Google results and begging friends for positive reviews.

I don't think this drama will close them down. If they've made it this far, they're going to survive.

After all, how much of their local clientele even followed or knew much about this drama?

Hey - been awhile since I posted the news of the purchase.

The RS was purchased at AIA auction for around $125k...not too bad. Considering a more damaged 991 GT3 sold for around $105 a few months back...$125 doesnt seem too bad. Damage is pretty superficial so far. Will post pics once body shop is done. Needs some new front internals, bumper and few other items. He's going to keep airbags out for now, since it will be a pure track car. Should be on track in the next 30 days.

Will post pics soon...=)

What an awesome outcome for this car. The 991RS is a beast on track.
Look forward to seeing the pictures of its conversion.

Well done! Curious how the total cost would compare to getting a used 991 Cup instead.

Not sure but I think it may be RS 'pumpkin' Orange. It could also be any random orange that looks like it. The previous owner ordered the SPB build including the custom paint job. I like it too -- easily recognizable during a race.

Was just thinking about this story. Looks like these guys are alive and well still. Anyone familiar with these guys if they live locally?

This thread was like a mystery and soap opera all wrapped in one.

A pillars forward needs replace and the technicians concern is the modular attach points for the suspension which they will understand better as the car is dissembled assuming that ever happens. The diminished value expert I'm working with has been very insightful on the post value repair and your point on salvage was an excellent one. Apparently salvage value is pretty good in these cars. Suing would be for denial of claims Or straight gross negligence with recklessness and bad intent. Thanks again.
I know thisis an old thread but I really would like to know how this ended.

Sure. Insurance paid out, I didn't have to sue but probably should have. Shop is still around, I have no idea how they are doing. Car was bought at auction by a Rennlist members relative I believe and rebuilt and now is being tracked. I do now put on OBDII GPS tracker on my car everytime I drop off now for service Insurance company was painful, but ultimately did the right thing.

Was it his insurance or yours? How did it affect your rates? A few years back my daughter was hit while driving one of my cars and the claim stayed on my insurance for five years even though it was 100% the fault of the other driver.

Did you replace with a simlar car? Sorry for the questions but the thread really sucked me in. Kind of like watching a movie without seeing the end.
