One of one of one.

Congrats on conjuring a car to match your dreams. Truly spectacular.

How come i sometimes see carbon w aluinlay w illuminated text, doesnt look near as nice as this!
If I recall correctly, the price was around $5500 for this request. Very expensive I know, but this is an one-off piece, where Porsche had to create new mold for. Unlike the standard custom door sill, where there is a rectangular white cut-off area, this one does not and it looks so much cleaner!

Also, for this price, they let you pick any two colors illuminated of your choosing. So in my books, it's a steal

Do you plan to drive it regularly or treat it more as a collectable?
None of my cars are "collectable." Contrary to Rennlister urban legend, 918 owners do drive their cars regularly. The only thing that differs is that I have a lot of cars in my stable (more than what I had listed in my signature), so the annual mileage on each of my cars is limited. On my 918, I put around 2500 miles a year and that's typically what I put on all my cars (except my daily, which is my Panamera GTS). I expect the same for my R, most of which will be done in the canyons

Exactly! None of the Germans at the factory seemed to mind, as each one of them had a big smile on their face when they saw the door sill on my R. They thought the message was hilarious. For the record, my salesperson (who is German btw), pointed this out but we felt it looked better with all capitals in each word.

Life is too short, so we gotta all loosen up a little

I just pointed it out in case you were not aware - they should have corrected it free of charge then.
I did not mean to offend anyone...

2,500 miles/yr each on multiple cars is still impressive. Free time is hard to come by for many (myself included).

Just don't talk the talk, and have someone spot it for sale in a week like the other guy on that other thread!! Was even denying it was for sale. Hilarious.

It's all good, don't worry about it! Look, a non-matching key in rhodium silver and brewster green

LOL. Don't you worry, this one is a keeper! Besides, if I were to flip it, I wouldn't have spend all the $$$ on these special requests. Probably would have done what that guy did. Get PTS in either Slate Grey 615, Gulf Blue or Light Ivory (these are "popular" PTS colors) and no CXX. You will get the most bang for your buck when you sell it.

Some cars I drive less than the others, mostly due to practicality (e.g. CGT, low ground clearance, need to plan my routes) or geographic reasons (eg. 993 GT2 in another country).

Unbelievable attention to detail and planning. Hats off to you for ensuring every detail is right and for being so creative in the build. The mats really stand out for me - very cool. Wonder if i could get those after the fact.
