Help with Porsche charge O. Mat Pro
So I spent the money and bought the Porsche battery maintainer pro. I have it charging the RS and noticed today that the green Power light was on without an indication that it was charging. Neither the mode lights or the indicator lights as degree of charge we're showing.
I cycled the mode button and put it back on lithium ion. The charge light cycled through to the "ready to use" light on the degree of battery charge and then switched off again leaving only the power light on.
Is this normal? Shouldn't the fully charged green battery light showing full charge be on and stay on for maintenance mode?

I don't have that specific unit but my ctek cycles between these two settings...
Pics to follow. One is when charging, other is green and charged. It decharges and charges all the time. Probably stays green for a few minutes, then back to orange.

Ok. So my advice - use the clamps and put it on using the battery terminal and the post. I'll bet you that the lighter socket is switching off and cutting the circuit. My GT4 did this. Not sure on the GT3 because I'm driving it too much to bother with the tender. At least by doing this you'll know.

Below is the CTEK charger that came with my GT Porsches. One of them from my GT3RS wouldn't charge at all a month ago. I noticed it stayed for a few days in amber color. I recycled the charger, unplug from wall outlet and unplug the cigarette connector, then reconnected the cigarette connector and plugged in the wall power source. No dice and after several tries, I took it back to my dealer and they replaced it free of charge.
When the car is on battery charger, once I open the door the charger starts to recharge back (amber light on). Once battery is at capacity light turns green. If it stays amber after cycling a number of times then something is wrong with your charger. See if where you bought it from will replace it free of charge.
Since you said you bought yours, this is what I've been buying for the other cars, CTEK MULTI US 7002 and works like a charm. Bought at Amazon for $105.00. Hope this helps.

If it helps, I'm using a slightly different CTEK than those shown above.

These things are weird
I have a CTEK and it was working well on my spyder till January , when I bought the GT3RS, I used the same charger on RS and it will stay on for roughly one hr and then dead
now I tried it back on spyder and it is doing the same thing like the RS
I gave up, today I ran both cars for 15 min and will see how it goes

Thank guys. I have the Lithium Ion battery so I don't know if I need a charger that is for io too which is why I bought this one.

This is a known issue and your Porsche garage can do a simple ECU update.

Is there any reason you guys aren’t using the included wiring to attach the ctek directly to the battery? Does the relabeled Porsche ctek not include them? I do this with all my cars and have never had any issue.
