Front looks way more like a 964 than anything else including 997,996,993.

Initial impression is that the styling of the 997 was perfect, 991 is a very close second, and with the 992 Porsche is just losing the hunt. And that is the problem with perfection. But Porsche knows best, so we'll see.

That rear light across the back is usually reserved for 4 models.. but I've always liked the connecting reflector like on 964 so hopefully they bring that back for all 911 models

That front end view looks like a half a$$ attempt to mimic the 964. Totally don't like the rear wing extension look either. I guess they still have some time to iron out the final look. So far to me, it's a 7 out of 10 at best, look. Now those renderings from Alan, how could it look any better. I'm sold.

Don't like it. Front has flatter wings, which makes it less 911 like and more like everything else. 911s are supposed to take advantage of the rear engined layout and have a bonnet/frunk that slopes well below the lights. They've flattened it off in the past e.g. 996 and it never looks as good.

Amongst other reasons I love Porsche the two are:
1. They hold values well (at least GTs)
2. Your current model doesn't look out-dated when the new generation comes out what these photos confirm.

+1

and #2 explains #1 to some extent. Take any 911, and it will not look like a transplant from a wrong decade. Some call it lazy design, I say brilliant.
