Poll: 991.2 GT3 - PDK or Manual?
For those of you who plan to buy a 991.2 GT3, whether you have an allocation already, are on a list, or hope to get on one... Assuming it's offered with your choice of 6-speed manual or PDK-S, and further assuming that the price will be the same either way, which seems likely (that is, no discount for manual), what box will you check on your order?
Note: This is NOT intended as yet another PDK v. manual debate thread, just a poll to see what the likely order rate will be.

Sorry, haven't decided yet, but if I was forced to make a decision right now, probably PDK S mainly b/c I'm only getting older and my knees have had too many surgeries.

Unless you're physically incapacitated I seriously do not see one single reason why anyone would spec this car with pdk...
The 991.2 GT3 in manual will be EPIC!
And BTW...even though I'd pay more for a manual, pdk will most likely cost extra. For the 991.2 GTS that just came out, pdk's price went up in the US!

Here's hoping your right! Alas, I doubt PAG will pass up the chance to cash-in by making PDK-S "standard" and making the manual a "no-cost" option, just like how they made LWB standard on RS and 18-ways a no-cost option (even though the LWB over $2K more expensive than 18-ways on all other models). Why would they leave money not he table?

Can't work a clutch with my hip anymore, so no choice for me, but even if I had the choice I'd probably take the PDK-S simply because it will allow me to experience more of the performance of the car, more safely, particularly on the street. The 6MT in my Spyder was big fun while it lasted, but I'm a better, safer driver in my PDK cars. Very much looking forward to experiencing PDK-S.

Probably the 3rd or 4th thread on this but why not?
I chose PDK. Last three cars are manual and will most likely keep my manual 1M. I think manuals make slow cars fun and PDKs make fast cars fun. Just my opinion!!

+1, the GT3 clutch are just too heavy for any long drives for me anymore. PDK-S all the way and no regrets.

On a pole like this you need a "definitely undecided" option...
Born and raised manual driver. Absolutely love it, and don't mind railing gears while doing everything else in traffic we are not suppose to do. Then, I was forced to have an automated dual clutch dual input manual in an RS5. That was way better than expected. I was then saying, if there was a way to "pull in the clutch, there'd be no reason to have manual..." then, the GT3 gave us that option.
I only drove my GT3 in manual mode. My jeeps are still manuals. My next GT3.... man that's tough. PDK is higher performance. Except for personal preference and being able to say "I can drive a three peddle car as good or better than you can drive your PDK", there is really no other benefit. Maybe the manuals hold their value better, but that is a maybe. I think that is what the R buyers were thinking.
Officially undecided here.

I voted pdk but still kinda undecided. I like the idea of the performance edge of the pdk and no money shift but still enjoy rowing my own gears from time to time. I wonder if manual cars will be considered more desirable, like a lwb seat car now.
