Thats pretty interesting, wonder how if its 17kg heaver and has 75 hp less it's still as fast or as mclaren says, sometimes faster than the 675lt around some tracks...that seems strange no?

Must be newer, superior, stickier tires on the 600LT? Dunno what other variable is left to make up for 675LT's power and weight advantage.

Very simply...600LT is currently for sale...675LT is old news as far as McLaren is concerned. As stated 675 is lighter, more HP, better suspension, active aero and larger tire patch. Hard to figure how the 600 could keep up unless tire technology has made a HUGE leap forward

600LT has bigger wing, more aggressive aero, should/ could have more downforce.

600LT more like 3RS so it does not spin tires everywhere. 675 would overpower the tires a lot and you had to drive more carefully.

Lighter is lighter but yeah tires with 3 years of development make a difference.

Normally Id say tires but thats not a 75 hp difference equalizer on a similar platform haha, pretty interesting. Granted putting new trofeo r tires or cup r tires on a 675 would im sure bump the difference down even more.

Bigger wing might further accentuate the HP gap especially on track with reasonable straightaways.
i do agree...my 675 does spin the tires on track thru 3rd gear...especially on less than smooth surfaces.
With all said...I will be surprised to see the 600 match the 675 on track other than certain circuits that are extremely technical and lack reasonable/long straightaways.
Looking forward to well done comparisons.

Just watched it...alright I'm totally perplexed lol. Granted it does make sense how others have commented the 600lt is as fast as the gt2rs until 120mph...

I would buy this over a 570 any day twice on Sunday.

Schmee barks on about the downforce and drag of his 675 being responsible for its performance in this test but that is not right, there is inconsequential relative downforce or drag (675 v 570) for this test, its too slow. The weight of his fully loaded 675 Spider with his lardy **** in could easily be 1550kg (the 675s are only light weight if you don't tick the extras box and the Spider version adds ~40kg) the 570S could easily be at 1500kg for this test/ Add in the latest gen of traction control on the 570 and newer tyres and there you have it.....

Pretty interesting, Ill get my 600lt to the dyno so we can see if that trend continued. If it did, Id expect it to run close to 550 RWHP, which would be really ludicrous for that car with the weight they took out vs the 570...(went and looked and it turns out Fabspeed did a 570 and the BASELINE was 532 RWHP fwiw)

Anyone ordering the 600lt spider? My dealer told me he was given the allocation to put the build in. Curious if others have heard the same.

What dealers if you don't mind me asking? I can see prices trending down but haven't heard of GT2s at MSRP just yet.

[QUOTE=sechsgang;15507600]And in the past 2 days I've been offered 2 GT2rs' at sticker, both WP, and brand new at a dealer...

would you not say that you being offered 2RS cars at MSRP is more a function of your relationship/goodwill with the dealer or are you suggesting that the 2RS market has softened enough that market price is now MSRP? Unless it’s the latter your comparison with the 600LT market is unfortunately not comparable.
