yes. that is an ACTUAL race car for the road, and there are very few others I can think of which fit that definition, in fact, outside of Jim Glickenhaus' SCG003, I can't think of any other cars which meet that definition in production today.
I am in love with the ethos behind the Ford GT, I just don't believe in buying race cars meant for the road for driving on the road (that, and $ and they won't give me one anyway)... but aside from those minor issues, i would still buy a gt3 or an RS because a road car which is good on the track makes a lot more sense to me.

But I can't even fit my HPDE helmet in the trunk.
Otherwise, I'd buy one for sure.

Is there space for that in the 570 grid? They recently announced the 570 S Track Pack, which could be the LT w/o the LT designation. Perhaps a great alternative for those that do not have patience to play games with dealers. Also, my opinion, if they extend the warranty period, they could attract a lot of new buyers.

The real issue is the scarcity of the GT 3. You simply cannot get one. You get to see the videos, the reviews, the tease, but can't buy one.
A track car that no one can afford to track! What was intended as an enthusiasts car becomes a garage queen because the price pop. I'm mad. I want one, can afford sticker, but will never get to track one until years go by and a new later and greater model is out. I can buy a McLaren right now. No comparison.

Track pack:
Bigger rear wing gurney lip thing
Baller carbon bucket seats
Sport exhaust
Slightly lower weight, little more aero, some more noise. Totally worth it if you are tracking a 570...for me the P1 seats are best around in a bucket.

Test drove a 720s today. Was not impressed given the hype, just another variation of the Mclaren 3.8 motor that they put in all their cars. Wasn't that fast and didn't have the right sounds.
Salesman says sticker be around 360k, 3 year waiting list.
Just my personal opinion. Not my cup of tea.

Drove it in sport and track mode, power wasn't instant, engine still needed to spool up. It's all relative to other super fast sports car. I kept reading it was P1 fast so was considering to get one. I think the 3.8 v8 lacks the low end torque to be a true monster.
