don´t tell this to 918 owners in here.
i personally also don´t think it is - if we do the comparison with LaF and 918.

i do think their masterpiece its the 570s, 675LT and 720s compared with the range where this cars are placed.

i really love the looks of the P1 - but if we are not wearing pink glasses i guess it is their poorest car in comparison within its range. my opinion. technical wise.

the 675LT, 720s, 570, is for me exactly vice versa. meaning: best and fastest cars in their (pricing) range.

would love to drive a P1. would even prefer it over a 918 i guess. but thats a heart and guts decission. Thats mainly because my car emotion / my emotional bonds to specific cars (the feeling which buys stuff at the end) comes from imperfection (rawness).

The 675LT probably nuts but that car could be the right one especially in a spider.
I think the LT spider is the best car made for someone who loves raw speed, loud race car noises, and loves the details and personality maxed out in a super light package.

Explained like this: 10-12% More power than a CGT, better handling than an RS, lighter than a boxster. Edgy when you want to be edgy, more civilized than a Turbo over bad roads. Best car ever.

Lighter than a boxster? Not questioning your expertise but I'm struggling to wrap my brain around that tidbit. Hell of a sales pitch btw. This thread is going to end up costing me a bunch of money. I'm a used buyer a year or two out so I'm hoping the current depreciation curve continues.

Thanks.

675LT reminds me of the 360 Stradale but for the transmission which dates the car in a not so good way.

I really was speaking strictly from an emotional standpoint actually. Visually, and viscerally while driving, the P1 is a masterpiece. From a driving perspective, yes the 675LT is goldilocks perfect.

I actually have more seat time in a 918 on track, than I do with the P1. The 918 is so incredibly competent, it feels like a video game. To a very average driver like me, the 918 feels unflappable, remote, and so fast that I can't drive it like it needs to be (ie fast carrying momentum in corners). The p1 on the other hand, will get slightly out of line, has much nicer more connected steering feel, better sounds, and while maybe not as fast as 918 (hard to tell at these levels), it FEELS more exciting.

in april we will have 2 918's (weissach and "normal") at the track track together with the p1.. trust me, I will be hiding the keys to the P1 in my pocket during the driver briefing, then lowering it into track mode, and not switching out to the other two until someone stands on pit row and yells at me to come in. it's the most exciting machine I can imagine, although possibly a LaF could beat it.. I'll likely never know.

I agree. If their values go down, I'll definitely get one. If they do not, I'll work to get the Spyder LT version of the new 720 whenever it comes out. Any recommendation on which dealer to work with on that in Canada?

What is that third car back in the first picture, the orangey/yellow one? I don't recognize that front end. Is it a Vette?

Yes I track mine. I believe outside of P1 GTR guys I have the fastest recorded cornering speed of a P1 in USA- and I intend to break the lap record at COTA in mine later this year.
