It seems the biggest problem with McLaren is their aftercare customer service. It seems they oftentimes try to look for obscure reasons to shift blame away from the product and onto the owners. I'm a McLaren owner currently, but it's unsettling to hear such stories more than I'd like.
Wow- that sounds awful

It's Mclaren that is on the wrong they are the ones that have to offer some sort of compensation, even if it is from a costumer relations pov. An allocation for whatever mclaren, facilitate the acquisition of a Senna for sale, something but what they did.

But they don't know any better, they were cnts on f1, they were sleazy af with the price table and all the maintenance schedule of the mclaren f1, they are just being what they always were for a big part of their history.
Can you explain further on this F1 maintenance you're referring to? Real mclaren F1 trivia is almost folkloric in status, and those with real knowledge are few. Would love the stories if you have them to tell.

Did you own one to be able to say that so definitively? Because if not it's complete BS imo.

Smart move to give it a day and see how you feel, looking forward to seeing which way you go. That's a nicely specced one by the looks of it
Pick up 0900 tomorrow ............

I have lots of F1 stories but the main issues have always been:

Michelin only makes tires every few years
Windshields are very hard to replace/source (delays, special coatings)
Brake pads get a lot of use (lol)

There is no perfect situation but if I paid 2M for a car and drove it 20k miles and it was now worth 15+ I'd probably roll with the punches. Just sayin.

0900 hours ... but who’s counting!?! Congrats.

I have a few friends with Macs ... some of them had a few issues with the electronics (720s) but it went away with some software update. I don’t know anyone with a horror story with his/her Mac. One day I would love to have one too. For me, personally, it caries a legendary aura (grew up watching F1 w Senna) ... plus, right now, they are certainly pushing the envelope in terms of performance and design... giving Ferrari a true run for their money! Enjoy your new toy in good health! Cheers!!!

$650 earned for every mile driven, maintenance and consumables excluded. I'll take that return.

For sure. I waited two days which was good, and had my buddy check out the car who has owned 6 MAC’s. The one he regrets selling is the 675, and now cleaning out the 458 Spider which I traded for my 2016 RS UV.

The Mac and GT3 out together for a drive today. The yellow Cayman GTS picked an opportune parking spot for the skittles photo.

I like it! looks like it's going so fast that it's paint is coming off.

Maybe a foreshadow that if you go faster, other parts could come off lol
