I knew Porsche have about sixteen or so variants of the 911. I missed the introduction and launch of the GT3RS Touring.

Drive safe,

I am too tired of typing to enumerate the SUVs.

Oh yeah and these cars update on 3.5 year cycles so the .1's depreciate the second the first .2 is spied in camo with higher displacement engine, wider hips, Weissach, or whatever else gets cooked up. The 991.2 GT3 RS that *just* sold, in some cases with $50k ADM, will be outshined by the 992s in months, not decades or something else absurd.

So please, save us all the lazy take on McLaren and new models. The idea they can't slot a GT car into their lineup is just stupid.

Obviously, the pad prices are of interest and I find it hard to believe that pads > 50% the cost of brand new carbon ceramic discs. 20 euro per lap in fuel is simply not right - probably closer to 10. The employee and license line is not broken down so no way to understand what they've stuffed in there. Same with "miscellaneous." It appears they are depreciating the car by 36,000 euros each season. I think a 720s costs ~240k euros? Question is how much will their taxi be worth when they retire it in X years? So, in 3 years of service will it be worth 132k euros? Less or more? You could make the case they they've been conservative here.

This is certainly not a business where anyone is going to get rich quickly. But, I do think this video is also a bit of a sandbag to justify the 299 euro per lap price. That said, the market will dictate what they can charge as there is no monopoly on being a ring taxi. And for someone who has no seat experience in a car equivalent to the 720s, 26kms around the Ring in that car will be a lifetime memory which probably justifies the cost.

Misha is the marketing arm of Apex, but they seem fairly straight up and the owner Robert is very well off from his other ventures so Im not too surprised that they aren't printing cash with just the taxi efforts.

i think so. From what I’m reading the car slots between 720 and 570 but it shares some design cues from the speed tail.

That explains it. I was going to say that this looks like it's more for fun and for spending money that had been made elsewhere. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Not that I know him by any stretch, but he also seems like a solid easygoing guy and does things like give away free weekend packages via instagram and gave a guy who crashed one of his cars a free weekend for him to come back and drive again. Not the trademarks of a guy trying to squeeze every profit possible out of his customers.

Unique color, congrats on your new ride.

that makes sense. The 720kmsrp didn’t jive. Not sure the reason for this car and curious If it will sell. I guess have to wait and see but to me they should have just called this a Version of the 570.

Sam wait another 45-60 days or so and I'm sure they will explain more.

It was a bit of a surprise to the dealers when they showed us at the last convention- mostly because we usually get more warning than "later this year" - vehicles are internally teased and explained 18-36 months ahead for porsche for instance. I've seen 6-7 models of Porsche that dont exist in public yet.

Mclaren sees practicality as a big target -
Since their suspensions are so comfortable they are aiming for a 3rd model to the softer side (more usable, lux focused) of the sport and super series cars. It has immense luggage space compared to current mclarens.

i get it but easy to expand the luggage capacity of the 570gt for example. Just make it a taller hatchback. Regardless, I’ll wait to render final judgement. I see this as a redundant model but who knows. Might be a home run for them.
