Thanks everybody! I've got an offer in on the 675. I think at the end of the day that's probably the one thats got me most excited. I've got a new RS if i'm going to spend lots of weekends at the track so I think this could be the perfect compliment.

CJ - you and I actually spoke at Rennsport earlier this year when the 919 Evo was running up on the balcony of the hospitality area. You told me at that point that the 675 might just be the car for me!

Fingers crossed! Happy NY everyone.

With all the love for roof scoops, if you were to get a 600, would you order the scoop? 30k+ option

Heck- I am not in love with McLarens but how many times do you get a chance to have a functional roof scoop- go for it. I would get less of the other options.

Considering that the roof scoop has $30k of prerequisites, drop the fancy paintwork, caliper colour, soft-close, radio, leather, and MSO bespoke work? Also means that spider is out of the question.

(I prefer the stock wheel compared to the Focus ST-like 5-spokes.)

I don't think its nearly worth the basically 55k premium overall ish needed for it for the 600...the pipes are loud enough as is too haha

I have to pull out my excel sheet on the 600 and see where it priced out completely with and without the scoop. I think without scoop, bare bones you could be in the 250k range. Have to double check.

the scoop itself was like 25k-30k ish with at least 25k in carbon/prereq items to get it on at the end of the day. A base 600lt would be too base, you really need to spend 267-270 to have it be "light but nice"...I kept mine lower than normal (281), could probably have done 275 if I didn't do black wheels and palladium roof...but much below that would have meant getting rid of things that are really nice to have in a road car haha.

Insurance company won’t care much - this is most likely on mclaren (assuming manufacturing defect led to fire). Ins co might have to pay up front - but Mac will have to subro
