Yes and I have been supported very well on here since being a dealer. I do wish you guys would refer some macan business though. Don't you have wives who like world class handling in a compact crossover footprint? Heathens! Haha

Yep. No real ECOTY last year, at which point I gave up on EVO.

CJ - Have you ever considered coming out with your own personal calendar and selling it to these guys?

i had zero interest in the 600 lt. but the more I see it, the more I read about it, I’m intrigued. Not enough at this point to get rid of my 720 or 488 for one but maybe soon.

and CJ is a stand up guy. He answers his phone, returns texts. Was very helpful when I was buying my 720 and had some shopping delays that made me super frustrated.

dude sells Porsche, Mclaren, Audi, BMW. He is the EF Hutton of cars. When he speaks, people should listen.
CJ is a great guy and honest dealer. I'd buy a Porsche from him any time and I did. But he cannot control the quality of McLaren or their stupid pre and post inspection policy. The fact that 600LT can be good on a track does not negate the disadvantages that come with the brand: reliability issues, mandatory paid inspections to maintain warranty, sparse dealer network and yes steep depreciation. We don't buy cars to make money. But it's nice not to loose $50 to 100k on a car after a year and 5-10 track days.

I totally agree about the design. The beauty is just not there imo. Totally subjective. Maybe i am just getting old.

I like it, its different and I appreciate the "form follows function" ethos - the expense of owning and tracking the car means I will not buy one in the near future. the pre and post track inspection to maintain the warranty is particularly annoying.

i don’t know anyone losing 100k a year on a Mclaren but hey if it makes you sleep better saying that, knock yourself out.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Where would you put the total cost of running a new McLaren for 2k miles, including depreciation? No need for personal animosity. I'll sleep well regardless.

there were a few posts deleted but i posted something about the residual values- basically the 36 month residual on the 600LT is 63% for 15,000 miles (5k/yr)

if you compare that to a 911 Turbo S it's a lot better. Turbo S is below 50%.

Eric and others are correct that there is more inspection or maintenance to do track days etc. but you also have a 3 yr unlimited mile warranty and nobody gives you a hard time when you want to customize your car.

Porsche is definitely less expensive but way more limited in options, more common, and that is how they engineer the pricing. Porsches are also harder to get because so many people can afford 150-220k for a GT3/RS.

mclaren makes 3500-4000 cars worldwide and Porsche sold 2000-3000 GT cars in USA this year. mclaren has around 30 dealers in north america, porsche has 185. completely different scales of all elements.

So 37% depreciation over 3yrs and 15k miles on a $300k car is $111k/3yr or $37k/yr. I stand corrected, or maybe McLaren is subsidizing their leases a great deal to help sales. If I remember correctly, there have been 2k miles 1-2yr old examples offered for $100k under MSRP. Given these numbers a lease sounds like a no-brainer for someone in the market for a new 600LT.

Exactly.

Sure- some dealers get desperate to sell poor specs etc or excess inventory.
