Chris Harris must be on Mclaren payroll now -. Why talk about a car that is all sold out... better to pump the one that isn't.

Sure, and no writer has ever done a write up about a Porksche that is not available to the masses? Or even available to a few of us die hards? Just my thinking but McLaren can and will capitalize on the lack of availability of high performance cars from other marques. They can and will continue to raise the bar higher and higher.

Senna is indeed another world, driving it vs P1 let's you know this immediately.. outside of acceleration where it loses to P1, its the next dimension. but, it's still a million bucks and much more if you're not one of the chosen ones. So, I think reviewers like C.Harris are noticing the 600LT at 1/4 the price, might be one the best deals in the automotive world, riding on the same chassis, similar engine, and just about 300lb extra. Everything has a price

This is what I definitely think he's getting at for sure. And the other reviewers as well. Really I think what it shows the most though is how they are focusing on weight as the number 1 hindrance to a car being old school fun as other marques continue to push their cars heavier and heavier, even though the performance stats keep getting more amazing.

Senna is faster than the 720s. :Shocker

1:25 at Laguna or bust I say. There has to be *some* silver lining in looking like that...

Really wonder what it will do at Road America in light of the Cup vs GT2RS program

Talked with some pro drivers that work with Mclaren for their Pure program and they felt that the 600LT wasn't up to the same level as the 675LT. Great car but not quite the track monster as the 675LT cooler looking and better options maybe (exhaust) but overall that felt it's position within the Mclaren family was still below the 675LT super series. I have no experience with either car but have to say, I'm really interested in the 675LT as prices drop

Were they meaning that the 675 is the faster car or just the better car (McLaren claims the 600LT is faster on tight tracks like HPR)? Maybe things like the fancy suspension of the 675 were responsible for the comments?

More racecar feel in the 675LT better transmission, suspension for the track and more confidence in the setup. They also thought the base of the 570s was a compromise for cost and that although they have fixed a lot of the instability of the rear end on braking that it was still inferior to the chassis setup in the 675LT. I don’t recall McLaren making any such comments. I did hear a journalist saying “possibly” due to tire evolution.
Why would it be faster?...less power, more weight, lesser suspension and no active aero, smaller tire patch!! Duh

Yes, the Trofeo R's are certainly a big factor...
