Honestly it will vary depending on the individual. But I would think at least a couple of days if you work on it consistently, up to more than a week. Depends on how much consecutive time is spent on it.

Possibly! My 10 year old and 8 year old know if they touch it they risk losing an arm!

After mine gets here and is built with me and my 6 year old, it's going to have to go to the office. No way it survives my 2 year old, Cannon... who might as well be named Cannonball.

Default knockoff

AliExpress has knockoff kits for $83. They actually have decent reviews. No boxes or collector value, but should be just as fun to assemble. They have some other colors too. I think it will take a few weeks to arrive via slow-boat shipping, but I'll post a follow-up when it gets here.

Bought mine today. At the mall and saw the Lego store. Said to wife I wanted to go in. She said "seriously?". All customers were 8 to 10 except one 57 year old. 😎 Been building for three hours now. Hardest part is sifting through the sea of pieces.

5S the process lay all the same pieces with like pieces, and a large work area. Trust me it saves time. Box one is about 5 hours. Enjoy.

Can't wait to start mine. Terrific head cold going on so will have to wait a few days. Glad other guys enjoy these "toys" like I do.

Mine took two days, did it over christmas eve and day with the family helping out and stealing pieces... the detail in this thing is crazy.

Don't forget to apply the fix for the proper sequence for the shifter...

Lego has it going form 1-3-2-4...
Simple fix to get it do it right...just switch two gears...Much easier if you do this before you get too far into the build...
