Depends on what happened to cause fire I would think. Engine under warranty, if it malfunctioned and started the fire......I think they have liability there. Rich has followed the book for maintenance with this car. Just had the 6,000 track mile service Porsche recommends (where the techs snapped his axle). I think the whole 991 GT3 community should be thankful that guys like RM21, Macca, and OrthoJoe run these cars through the paces on track. Anyone who still doesn't think the 2014 and 2015 cars are "beta" engines is naive.

Glad you are ok as well. Your factory Porsche warranty should take care of it. If your car was out of factory warranty, you car insurance probably wouldn't step up given most exclude any kind of track work or racing

I think track insurance just covers damage from collisions, not mechanical problems. But Porsche warranty should cover this.

One of the times you're happy to have a PDK car. It's not like Porsche can now say you over rev'd the motor and deny warranty coverage.

Very sorry to hear that and glad you are safe. If Porsche doesn't step up here, since you are in the Atlanta area, just park the car next to their driveway for a few days with a note in the windshield explaining the saga. Hopefully they will do the right thing.

“Collision” means the upset of your “scheduled auto”
or its impact with another vehicle or object while
involved in “driving activities.”
Just posting this info for others who might be wondering the same thing.
